The beauty and convenience of ordering thing online are, no doubt, some of the best "side effects" of our Internet age.

However, I LOVE offline art stores.

This weekend I was over in Portland and was happy to spot a Blick Art Supplies store in downtown! if you're from Oregon, say hi!!

First, say hi to the sponsor of this email:

Cool Finds

1) LOTS of cute and practical notebooks and sketchbooks for watercolor or mixed media, including weekly planners. The one with

2) Amazing deals on artist-grade gouache (Winsor Newton Designer Gouache)

3) Practical Golden set that already come with glazing medium or retarders AND their slow drying medium - a must if you are still learning how to handle drying times in acrylics. Golden Open Mixing set will last you long time and you will be able to paint anything with it.

I am contemplating getting a small travel-friendly watercolor set from Winsor Newton but then I remember I already have a whole 1818-color set of Japanese watercolors...So I practicepracticed Look and don't touch this weekend, but it does feel good to go in the art shop that has EVERYTHING!

If you want to shop online: Blick Art Supplies Store often has better prices than Amazon (but not always, so check!).

See you next week!
